METRO DINER DONATES $2,000 TO K9S FOR WARRIORS

PONTE VEDRA, FL – Metro Diner and Merkley Marketing Group teamed up in December to host “Dinner With Real Beard Santa” at their Palm Coast, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Julington Creek locations.

Metro Diner pledged 10% of the event’s revenues to K9s For Warriors, the nation’s largest provider of trained service dogs for military veterans, which Real Beard Santa chose for his charity. Merkley Marketing Group sponsored Real Beard Santa (Joe Merkley – Owner/Co-Founder).

Dinner With Real Beard Santa is an annual event in its third year with plans to expand the event in 2023.

On January 12, 2023, Metro Diner along with Joe Merkley as Real Beard Santa, presented a check for $2,000 to K9s For Warriors at their Shari Duval National Headquarters located in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

“Incredible fundraising events, like ‘Dinner With Real Beard Santa’, is vital to K9s For Warriors. The invaluable support these events provide allows the organization to not only spread awareness about its mission to end veteran suicide, but it also directly impacts K9s For Warriors ability to save more shelter dog and veteran lives,” explains Stephanie Vogt, Community Relations Manager for K9s For Warriors.
